  • SC(2018+1628) = 3646 (11.86%)
  • ST (3174 + 3078)=6252 (20.34%)
  • General (11232 + 9609)= 2084 1 (67.80%)
In these 30739 PAFs, 11.86% belong to Schedule Caste and 20.34% belong to Schedule Tribes. Since about 32.2% PAFs are SC/ST being displaced by this project, therefore utmost care has been taken to protect the tribal culture, their lifestyle and tradition while designing the Resettlement and Rehabilitation Programme. Special studies have been carried out in the submergence villages regarding their socio- economic and cultural status by social  science institutions and the tribal needs have been specified.
