- SC(2018+1628) = 3646 (11.86%)
- ST (3174 + 3078)=6252 (20.34%)
- General (11232 + 9609)= 2084 1 (67.80%)
In these 30739 PAFs, 11.86% belong to Schedule Caste
and 20.34% belong to Schedule Tribes. Since about 32.2% PAFs are SC/ST being
displaced by this project, therefore utmost care has been taken to protect the
tribal culture, their lifestyle and tradition while designing the Resettlement
and Rehabilitation Programme. Special studies have been carried out in the
submergence villages regarding their socio- economic and cultural status by
social science institutions and the tribal needs have been specified.
